When we built the new TrueTrac The best joint supplement for show pigs we incorporated what we have learned mitigating lameness for over a decade .  When we feed hard and push them to finish we simply push beyond the animal’s physiological ability.

Beta agonists further contribute to the problem. The result is a build-up of metabolic toxins also known as oxidative stress that specifically attack the joint cartilage.  The result of the inflammation is OCD lesions in hocks or worse.

The key to a successful product to support joint health comes from the right ingredients in the right formulation.  You won’t find a more complete joint health product anywhere.   The patent pending technology in TrueTrac has been proven in trials and in the show barn and you won’t find it in competitive products.

TrueTrac joint supplement for show pigs is formulated with: Omega fatty acids, Collagen Type II, Glucosamine, MSM, Methionine, Threonine, Curcurmin, Vitamin C, Biotin, Yucca schidigera, Zinc glycinate, and the patent pending technology DuoPort 2.0 

One ingredient we do not use is Green Lipped Mussel (GLM.)  While GLM has shown some benefit to joint health there is the risk of the product containing thiaminase. Thiaminase is an enzyme that breaks down thiamine, a vitamin necessary for joint health.

There is also evidence it has a negative effect on biotin, a vitamin critical for hoof health.  Because of that risk and testing we did on GLM from multiple sources we made the informed decision to leave it out of our formulation and would advise you to be cautious using products that contain GLM.

How to Feed:

The best practice is to feed TrueTrac joint supplement for show pigs 1 scoop per day start to finish to mitigate the oxidative stress and prevent the subsequent inflammation.

If you decide to wait until later in the feeding period, when you are feeding Paylean, or have a pig that is “out there” we recommend 2 scoops per day.

You should absolutely feed 2 scoops per day as soon as you start pushing for finish and at least 45 days before you plan to start feeding beta agonists.

  1. Our mission is continuous improvement.  When we got the chance to get the exclusive rights to the patent pending technology we couldn’t wait.  We fed the new formulation and saw some dramatic improvement. So we decided to replace the old TrueTrac with the new and improved version.

Can I start feeding it at 150 lbs? I’ve never fed a joint supplement to growing show pigs?
