Description

Calm Without Drugs

Chill was developed for exhibitors who wanted a natural way to settle pigs that are anxious, spooky or difficult to train. Rather than relying on pharmaceuticals, Chill uses magnesium glycinate—a form of magnesium that is easily absorbed—to support normal nerve function.

Palatable and Convenient

The formula uses a milk replacer base, making each scoop tasty and easy to mix with feed. A 3‑lb bag contains about 48 scoops. Feed one scoop daily for pigs that need mild calming or two scoops during intense training or stressful events. Many exhibitors start four days before a show to encourage a fluid, relaxed stride.

When to Use Chill

  • Training sessions when pigs resist handling.
  • During fitting and clipping to keep animals still.
  • Leading up to shows to improve focus and stride.

Chill provides peace of mind that your pig will present itself calmly without compromising muscle tone or alertness.

What Chill Does for Show Pigs

Show day brings new sights, sounds, smells, and activity that can distract even a well-trained pig. Chill is designed to support calm, attentive behavior during these moments, helping exhibitors handle their pigs with greater confidence.

When paired with consistent training and quality showpig feed, Chill can help support:

  • A calmer attitude during clipping and fitting.
  • Better focus in busy show environments.
  • More relaxed handling before entering the ring.
  • A consistent feeding routine throughout show season.

Developed by True North Technologies, Chill is designed to work alongside good nutrition and regular practice, giving exhibitors another tool to help their pigs perform at their best. Add it to your feeding routine and discover how pig calming supplements can support a more comfortable and confident show experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

How far in advance should I introduce Chill before a show?

Many exhibitors begin feeding Chill several days before an event so their pigs can become accustomed to the supplement as part of their normal routine. Starting early also helps avoid making last-minute changes before competition.

Can environmental changes affect my pig’s behavior?

Yes. Traveling, unfamiliar barns, loud crowds, and new surroundings can all increase stress. Pig calming supplements are often used alongside consistent handling and feeding practices to help pigs adjust more comfortably.

Can Chill be used throughout the show season?

Many exhibitors include Chill in their feeding program during periods of regular training and competition. Follow the recommended feeding directions on the product label and adjust your program as needed for your pig’s schedule.

Does Chill affect my pig’s appetite?

Chill is made with a palatable formula that mixes easily with feed, making it simple to include in your pig’s daily ration. Most pigs continue eating their normal diet when the supplement is introduced as directed.

Chill works great! Our pigs are relaxed during and after the show. It works so good they don’t want to get off of the trailer when we get home.

Started giving the product Chill to our spot gilt two days before the show and continued through show day. She hit the ring and not a word from her. We like the product for sure!

I have been trying to to break a gilt. I tried this product and it did not change anything for me .

We are sorry to hear you haven’t had success using Chill. Of course as a nutritional supplement it can’t replace putting in the work with the animal and the results are not as reliable as a drug would be. For some of those animals that don’t respond the first time you use it we have had customers tell us that using it several days in a row was helpful.

We had a Spot Gilt that we could not break with or barely handle. We worked so hard with her she was barn sour & buddy sour. After just one dose we were able to walk her without boards. We had never been able to do that before. We made it into the show ring this past weekend with her and she walked like a dream. We are blown away with this product and a true believer. We will have this in our barn indefinitely. She walked with her head up not drowsy or irritable like some supplements make this pigs. Thank you so much for putting this product into our hands.

We fed this to three of our pigs. It seemed to knock the edge off. Feeding it a couple days in a row worked for us!
