Description

The problem

You just bought the lamb. That was the easy part.

He is standing in your barn and now there is a wall of product in front of you, every bit of it promising something, and no obvious place to start.

Does he need joints already, or is that later? When do you start on hair? What do you do about his skin before there is anything wrong with it?

Most people solve this by buying one thing, waiting to see what goes wrong, and then buying the next thing after it does. That works, in the sense that you eventually get there. It is just the expensive way and the late way.

What is in it

Four bags, and each one is here for a reason

TrueGlo. New pen, new water, new feed, new everything, and that is exactly the stretch where a lamb or a goat backs off his feed. An animal that is not eating is not growing. This holds the gut together so he stays on feed through it.

TrueTrac Sheep and Goat. His joints are carrying weight from the day he arrives and the damage does not announce itself. The early sign is a lack of reach, and by the time you can see that it has been going on a while. This is the one you start before you need it.

Great Mane. Hide and hair. Omega fatty acids, Tasco seaweed and vitamins, and no melatonin in it.

Provilli. For the skin. There is a whole population of organisms living on it, and when the balance is right that is part of what keeps him right through a season. Use it on the skin, or in the water for the gut.

Every one of those has its own page with the whole argument on it. This bundle is the four of them in one order, at a better price.

What runs out and what does not

Nobody feeds one lamb

So the useful question is not how long the box lasts. It is which of these goes first.

Great Mane is the one to watch. At one to two ounces a head the ten pound bag runs eighty to a hundred and sixty days, so at the top of that rate it goes before anything else does.

The TrueGlo and the TrueTrac have room. About a hundred and thirty two days and a hundred and fifty on one head, which is most of a project.

The Provilli goes a long way, and most people end up using it on the other projects in the barn too, not only the lambs.

So here is what we would actually tell you to do

Buy the bundle once. Do not subscribe to it.

Then put the ones that actually run out on subscription, starting with Great Mane, and TrueGlo if you are feeding more than one head. You will likely have enough Provilli out of this one box to get you through the year.

We would rather tell you that than take the order.

Doc will make it right.

If you are not satisfied, let us know. You will not have to ship anything back.

That is the whole policy.

The craft stays yours

None of this feeds him for you. It puts the four things he needs from day one in one box, so you can get on with the part that actually takes skill.

Questions we actually get

Straight answers

What is in it?TrueGlo (5.25 lb), TrueTrac Sheep and Goat (48 oz), Great Mane (10 lb) and Provilli (32 oz).
How much does it save me?Those four come to $371.24 bought separately. The bundle is $304.42, so about $66 and eighteen percent, plus free shipping.
How long does it last?On one head, the TrueGlo runs about 132 days and the TrueTrac about 150. Great Mane runs eighty to a hundred and sixty days depending on your rate, so at two ounces a head it is the first to go.
What runs out first? It depends on your rate. Lambs and goats take one to two ounces a day, so the ten pound bag runs eighty to a hundred and sixty days. Feed at the top of that and Great Mane goes first; feed at the bottom and the TrueGlo does.
Should I subscribe to the bundle? We would say no. Buy the bundle once, then subscribe to the ones that actually run out. A monthly bundle subscription would send you far more than you can use.
Can I use it for more than one animal?Yes, and most people do. Everything divides by how many head you are feeding except the Provilli, which has more room in it than the rest.
Is the TrueTrac the low copper formula?Yes. The Sheep and Goat formula is built low in copper on purpose, because sheep are far more sensitive to it than the other species.
Do I still need good feed?Yes. None of this replaces a ration. It is what goes on top of one.
Can I buy the pieces separately?Of course, and every one of them has its own page. The bundle is just cheaper and it saves you working out where to start.
What if I am not satisfied?Let us know and Doc will make it right. You will not have to ship anything back. That is the whole policy.
